The BRAIN DISCOVERY SERIES Issue 2: Concussions as a Silent Epidemic

Issue two of BRAIN DISCOVERY SERIES focuses on concussions as a “silent epidemic.” Coined by Dr. Robert Laskowski in his book Brain Neurotrauama, this term emphasizes how unaware most people are to how common this disorder is. Due to this limited awareness, concussions are also often misdiagnosed as other conditions.

This issue focuses on

  • How concussions are a silent epidemic

  • Why clinicians continue to get the diagnoses and treatment of concussion and TBI wrong

  • What clinicians, the public, and those in the brain injury community should know and understand about this disorder

If after viewing this video you discover that you or someone else you know suffered a concussion and are living with the consequences, The Brain Discovery Series encourage you to seek medical attention from a competent clinician that specializes in the treatment of this condition.
