"After studying all the latest literature on brain injuries, and marathon reading through the most recent books published, I found Concussion to be THE BEST on the shelf... In this book the author guides you through the most simple functioning parts of the brain all the way up to the highest and most complex areas detailing the functioning of each. My favorite parts are when he discusses the brain's ability to regenerate from a lost and damaged state and how implementing the proper treatment, in the right order, plays a vital role. This book is loaded with astounding facts that can help make such a perplexing problem seem so simplified. The author truly creates an entirely new domain in neurology, for a condition that is so often mishandled and even overlooked in our society today; predisposing the patient to secondary and tertiary pathological conditions that could have been prevented... It is one of those books you just cannot put down until you finish. I highly recommend this book to everyone, and it will definitely be going on my go-to gift list."

-Tara Banks, Family Member of TBI Survivor

“This book is profound! As a student in neuroscience, I really appreciate the practicality of this book. You delve into real families and experiences that bring complex, scientific concepts to life. I am also inspired by Dr. Nedd's stories it really motivates me to push past the difficulties of life! Great read!”

- Kristen, Student

“As a neurologist, I highly recommend this book. It is an awakening that sheds the light on what really happens to the brain after injury, how it gets disorganized, how it adapts, and how it compensates, and how all of these affect every single aspect of a TBI patient life, who they become, and how they perceive the world around them. Mario and John’s stories and other stories in the book are only a small example of what patients with TBI and their families go through, and how they are treated and perceived by the society. This book is truly a wake up call for the medical community, and the rest of the world on the silent epidemic of concussion and TBI.”

"I have been privileged to work with Dr. Nedd as a colleague and friend over the last 25 years. Similar to "Dr. House" he is in real life able to manage the most complex neurological cases acute and chronic and get to the bottom of the issue in order to treat it. This book reflects his ideas from all the years of experience, his theories and how he sees the organization of the brain and the CNS following injury... Throughout the pages his optimistic and calming personality comes through which has allowed him to really listen to a patient and holistically treat not only their medical issues but the person themselves calming fears and providing state of the art treatment. If you are a resident, fellow, nurse, doctor, patient, family member of someone recovering from TBI, Stroke or other neurological disorders this book is a must read by one of the top Neurorehab docs in the world and now sharing his words of wisdom globally."

“Awesome book! I love how Dr. Nedd laid out his book to include case studies of real people to make it more relatable. The examples he used were easy to understand. My favorite example was when he compares the brain to computer systems. I love computers, so it was easy for me to visualize and understand what he was saying. Also, the BHET method does a great job of explaining the hierarchy of the brain. I’m very pleased with my purchase!”

- Erica Renee Walker, TBI Survivor

“Overall, excellent book that sheds light on an overlooked pandemic that is traumatic brain injury. Dr. Nedd uses real cases and experiences to explain how the brain is affected after a traumatic injury. He provides a unique approach to established assessment and treatment methods. As a resident physician, this book has particularly helped me manage patients with TBI. Even though it is a complex subject, it was easy for me to follow. I think that everyone can learn from this book, whether you are a family member of a patient with limited medical background or an experienced physician. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish!”
